ADC Criticizes APC for Ignoring Nigeria's Key Issues

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being more focused on discussing its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, than on addressing Nigeria's critical issues such as poverty, insecurity, and the rising cost of living. In a statement released on Monday by the ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party claimed that the APC has "shamelessly latched on" to former President Olusegun Obasanjo's critical remarks about Atiku while attacking Catholic Bishops who have voiced concerns about the country's deteriorating conditions under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The ADC argued that the Tinubu administration is attempting to divert attention from its "catastrophic" record on the economy and security. They urged the APC to focus on the real issues facing Nigerians, including unemployment and collapsing public services, rather than engaging in "political distractions." The ADC emphasized that the upcoming 2027 election will be determined by the experiences of over 200 million Nigerians rather than individual opinions.
