ADC Welcomes 2027 Election Timetable, Questions Results Transmission

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed its approval of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releasing the timetable for the 2027 elections, which includes the governorship elections scheduled for February 20, 2027, and state assembly elections on March 6, 2027. In a statement issued on Friday from their national public secretariat, the ADC highlighted the importance of this timetable for political parties, providing them with clarity for long-term democratic preparations in Nigeria.

However, the party raised significant concerns regarding the real-time electronic transmission of election results. Abdullahi, representing the ADC, insisted that INEC must demonstrate a commitment to transparency and technological integrity, ensuring strict adherence to due process throughout the electoral cycle.
