ADC's David Mark Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

David Mark, the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed the party's national executive committee meeting in Abuja, urging the party not to fail Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections. He expressed concern over the growing disillusionment among citizens due to worsening economic hardship and insecurity.

Mark highlighted the need for the ADC to position itself as a viable political platform capable of offering practical solutions to the country's challenges. He stressed the importance of discipline within the party and warned against repeating past mistakes that weakened opposition parties.

Mark noted the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria, which disrupts economic activities and displaces communities, undermining public confidence in the government. He called for urgent government attention to address rising inflation, declining purchasing power, and unemployment.

Mark also emphasized the need for unity within the ADC, urging members to prioritize collective interests over personal ambitions and to resolve internal disputes through dialogue and mutual respect.
