Fayose Warns ADC of 2027 Election Risks Without Obi

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, warned that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is likely to lose the 2027 presidential election if Peter Obi does not participate. Speaking at a PDP national convention in Abuja, Fayose provided a mixed review of President Bola Tinubu's administration, stating he is not entirely satisfied with Tinubu's performance.

He emphasized that the ADC's chances in the upcoming election largely depend on Obi's involvement, suggesting that without Obi, the ADC would struggle against the competition, particularly from Atiku Abubakar's ticket. Fayose expressed skepticism about Obi's political future, indicating that a return to the Labour Party is unlikely and that Obi's previous candidacy was a significant factor in the current political landscape.

He characterized the situation as challenging for the ADC, highlighting the importance of strategic alliances in the lead-up to the elections.
