ADC to Proceed with Convention Despite Leadership Crisis

Nwosu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), affirmed that the party will not allow the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to derail its convention plans despite ongoing leadership crises. In an interview on Thursday, Nwosu emphasized that the ADC is committed to moving forward with its preparations for the national convention scheduled for the 14th, which is a crucial step ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party has already begun taking necessary legal steps to ensure compliance with INEC regulations. Nwosu stated that the ADC has duly submitted its program to INEC in accordance with the law and has commenced its congress activities.

He also warned that if INEC refuses to accept the party's notifications, it would be detrimental to the public perception of the commission. The ADC remains resolute in its plans to select its presidential candidate for the upcoming elections.
