Adebayo Criticizes FG's Road Closures for APC Convention

Princ Adewol Adebayo, a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), condemned the Federal Government's decision to close access roads around the Federal Secretariat Complex in Eagle Square for the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention scheduled for March 27-28, 2026. He described the action as an abuse of office and a misuse of state resources, arguing that it blurred the lines between state functions and partisan political activities.

Adebayo highlighted the direct impact of the road closures on government operations and public movement, asserting that civil servants should not be deployed to serve the interests of a political party. Garba, and mandated that personnel work from home during the closure period, which is expected to disrupt traffic and economic activities in the area.
