Adebayo Promises Better Governance Than Tinubu

Prince Adewole Adebayo, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), declared his readiness to deliver better governance to Nigerians than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In an interview, Adebayo criticized Tinubu's administration, describing it as historically disastrous based on various metrics.

He emphasized the importance of the upcoming 2027 general elections, asserting that the SDP is preparing to present a credible alternative to the current government. Adebayo challenged Nigerians to demand better governance and to vote against the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also expressed concerns about the electoral laws favoring the ruling party and called for reforms to ensure a legitimate electoral process. Adebayo rejected the idea of a broad opposition coalition solely aimed at defeating Tinubu, arguing that past politicians who held power without reforming the system would not solve Nigeria's problems.

He aims to reconnect the SDP with ordinary Nigerians, recalling the party's historical role in Nigeria's democratic struggles.
