Adebayo Accuses Tinubu of Conflict of Interest in Contracts

Adewale Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), criticized President Bola Tinubu during a television interview, claiming that Tinubu's admission of awarding contracts to business associates constitutes a conflict of interest. Adebayo argued that in other countries, such actions would lead to impeachment.

He accused the Tinubu administration of failing to comply with due process in managing government revenue, alleging that trillions of naira have been spent without proper accounting. Adebayo emphasized that the current administration's practices exacerbate corruption and economic hardship in Nigeria.

He called for stricter standards in public procurement and highlighted the need for transparency in government spending, particularly in healthcare and education. Adebayo warned that Tinubu's economic policies have weakened purchasing power and deepened hardship for Nigerians, asserting that many citizens can no longer earn a legitimate living.
