Adebayo Critiques Tinubu's Influence on Nigerian Democracy

Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), expressed concerns regarding President Bola Tinubu's leadership and the actions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria. He accused Tinubu of attempting to sabotage democracy and exert political influence beyond the APC, thereby undermining the independence of political parties and the electoral commission.

Adebayo emphasized the need for a strong opposition to combat corruption, insecurity, and injustice in the country. He praised Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for allowing the SDP convention to proceed despite alleged pressures to halt it.

Adebayo urged Nigerians to defend democratic freedoms and resist any erosion of their rights as the country approaches the critical 2027 general elections, which he described as a defining moment for Nigeria's democratic future.
