Adebayo Confident to Challenge Tinubu in 2027 Elections

Adewale Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), stated he is not intimidated by the prospect of facing Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential elections. Adebayo emphasized that the SDP will not engage in ethnic politics and is focused on addressing pressing issues such as hunger, unemployment, and the rising cost of living in Nigeria.

He criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for prioritizing electoral victories over the welfare of ordinary Nigerians and condemned recent changes in educational policies, calling them a deliberate lowering of standards. Adebayo also rejected the federal government's student loan scheme, labeling it unconstitutional and harmful to students.

He asserted that education should be free and compulsory, warning that failure to properly educate the youth could exacerbate unemployment and social instability. Adebayo's comments came amid legal troubles faced by the SDP, although he declined to provide details on these issues.
