Adebutu Declared Ogun PDP Governorship Candidate for 2027

Hon. Ladipupo Adebutu has emerged as the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State for the 2027 elections.

The declaration was made during the party's primaries held at the Kensington Adebutu Hall in Abeokuta, where Chief Afolabi Ariyo, the chairman of the electoral committee, confirmed Adebutu's victory. The primaries saw a significant turnout of party members from 20 local government areas and 236 wards, with Adebutu being the sole candidate, leading to a consensus decision.

Mr. Abayomi Tella, the PDP state chairman, praised the turnout and the commitment of party members.

Adebutu expressed gratitude for the support he received and emphasized the need for unity within the party to reclaim power from the current administration. He urged party members to operate peacefully and focus on the upcoming elections.

Chief Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, encouraged PDP members to intensify their efforts to ensure Adebutu's victory in the 2027 elections.
