PDP Leaders Congratulate Adeleke on Osun Victory

Oladipupo Adebutu, the 2027 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, and party chieftain Segun Showunmi congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as Osun State Governor. In a statement issued by his media aide, Afolabi Orekoya, Adebutu commended Adeleke for his steadfastness and people-oriented governance, asserting that his victory reflects the electorate's will.

Adebutu noted that the APC in Ogun State is losing support ahead of the 2027 elections, as dissatisfaction with the APC administration grows. Showunmi remarked that the election results signify the maturation of democratic culture in the South-West, highlighting voters' intolerance for perceived political bullying.

He stated that the election reinforced the significance of a governor's performance and popularity, indicating that political endorsements alone no longer guarantee electoral success. Showunmi warned political parties against neglecting stakeholders, emphasizing that party structures do not automatically ensure electoral support.
