Afenifere Congratulates Adeleke, Commends Tinubu's Gesture

Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization, congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his electoral victory as the Governor of Osun State, describing the outcome as a reaffirmation of the people's sovereignty. In a statement signed by National Organising Secretary Abagun Kole Omololu, Afenifere commended the citizens of Osun for their commitment to democracy and peaceful voting.

The organization urged Adeleke to approach his renewed mandate with humility and responsibility, viewing it as a covenant with the people rather than a political trophy. Afenifere also praised President Bola Tinubu for his commendable gesture of congratulating Adeleke via telephone before the official announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), despite the defeat of Tinubu's party candidate.
