Nigerian Athletes Adegoke, Ojeli, Okon-George Lead Training Camp for 2026 Commonwealth Games

Enoch Adegoke, Emmanuel Ojeli, and Patience Okon-George are spearheading a group of 29 track and field athletes in a six-week training camp in Asaba, Delta State, organized by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The camp, overseen by AFN head coach Solomon Aliyu and technical director Gabriel Okon, focuses on fine-tuning fitness levels, improving techniques, and fostering team cohesion.

AFN President Tonobok Okowa believes the camp will help identify athletes in peak condition and lay a solid foundation for subsequent training phases. The goal is for Nigeria to perform strongly at the Commonwealth Games.

Notable athletes attending include Chidera Ezeakor, Janet Sunday, and Victoria Kparika.
