Nigerian Athletes Shine with Stellar Performances in International Athletics Events

Over the weekend, Nigerian athletes excelled in international athletics events. Enoch Adegoke ran a personal best of 6.71 in the preliminary round of the men's 60m at the Sparkassen Indoor Meet in Dortmund, Germany.

Fola Olaoye equaled his personal best with a time of 6.60 in the same event. Samuel Ogazi clocked 44.85 in the indoor 400m at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, ranking as the second-fastest time in African history.

Saa Salam (formerly Sundai Akintan) claimed the men's 60m title at the Russian Winter Indoor Meet in Moscow with a personal best of 6.48. Other notable performances included Grace Nwokocha's return to competition, Precious Opinion's meet record in the men's triple jump, and various personal bests by Nigerian athletes in different events.
