Adeleke Orders Probe into Accord Chieftain's Killing

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has initiated a probe into the killing of Accord Party chieftain Olalekan Ajagungbade, known as Emir, who was shot during a confrontation over control of a motor park in Ile-Ife on Sunday. The incident occurred around 1:20 PM at Mayfair, where Ajagungbade was meeting with drivers.

Reports indicate he was attacked and shot in the head during a fight involving a rival identified as Sibi. Following the shooting, a video surfaced showing Ajagungbade lying in a vehicle in a pool of blood.

The violence escalated, leading to clashes between Ajagungbade's associates and a rival group, prompting police intervention. Governor Adeleke has directed Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Zungura to arrest those involved and restore order.

Additionally, a vehicle carrying Sibi and his men was later involved in an accident on the Ife-Ibadan Expressway. Efforts to contact Osun State Police Public Relations Officer Abiodun Ojelabi for further details were unsuccessful.
