Osun Governor Adeleke Warns APC Local Government Chairmen Over Expired Tenure

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has issued a warning to APC Local Government chairmen, stating that their self-awarded tenure expired in October 2025 and cannot be extended. He accuses them of illegally occupying council offices and mismanaging public funds meant for local health workers, teachers, and pensions.

Adeleke emphasizes the violation of local government autonomy and state laws, urging the chairmen to vacate their positions immediately. He also alleges collusion between commercial banks and individuals without mandates to operate local government accounts, describing these actions as criminal.

Adeleke has informed the President and cautioned against using Bola Tinubu's name to justify illegal activities, urging the protection of democratic practices in the state.
