Adeleke's Popularity Surprises Opposition Ahead of Polls

Samuel Oyedotun, a senatorial aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial District on the Accord Party platform, commented on the enduring popularity of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. In a statement obtained in Osogbo on Wednesday, Oyedotun noted that despite negative campaigning from the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, Adeleke continues to enjoy strong grassroots support across the state.

He described Adeleke as a "people's governor," whose appeal transcends party lines and resonates with residents. Oyedotun highlighted that even within the ranks of the opposition, there is confusion regarding Adeleke's sustained popularity.

He pointed out that Adeleke's governance style has endeared him to the populace, contributing to his favorable position ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for August 15. Oyedotun, who previously served as the chairman of the Osun State Water Corporation Board, expressed confidence in clinching the senatorial ticket, emphasizing that the welfare of the people would be prioritized.
