Adeleke Confident of Defeating Oyebamiji in Osun Poll

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has declared his intention to defeat Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the upcoming governorship election set for August 15. Adeleke expressed strong confidence in his re-election bid, asserting that the APC is fearful of the election outcome.

He claimed that his administration enjoys overwhelming support among the electorate, citing internal poll figures that suggest a significant lead. To bolster his campaign, Adeleke approved the formation of a 52-member campaign structure known as the Imole Campaign Council 2026, which aims to enhance grassroots engagement and voter mobilization across the state.

The council will serve as a central hub for campaign planning and outreach efforts. Meanwhile, Oyebamiji emerged as the APC's governorship candidate following a consensus arrangement during the party's primary elections, pledging to prioritize poverty reduction, healthcare reform, and infrastructure development.
