VDM Calls for Arrest of Budget Office DG Adeniyi Matthew

Martin Vincent Ots, popularly known as VDM, has publicly called for the arrest of Adeniyi Matthew, the Director General of the Budget Office, alleging that he did not act alone in a corruption scandal related to a ₦15 billion project. In a video posted on his Instagram page, Ots urged authorities to launch an investigation into the country's budget process, claiming that Matthew is merely a victim of a corrupt system.

He emphasized that the investigation should extend beyond Matthew to include the entire Budget Office and its staff, suggesting that the Director General should resign immediately. Ots criticized the political influence over accountability in the budget process and stated that Matthew's actions were indicative of a rotten system.

He also mentioned Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, in relation to the scandal, asserting that the matter should not end with Matthew alone.
