Nigerian single window committee partners Customs to boost trade

The Nigerian Single Window Committee has partnered with Customs to enhance trade through the National Single Window (NSW) initiative, launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in April 2024. The Presidency has set an operational target for the first quarter of 2026.

During a meeting in Abuja, the NSW committee and Nigeria Customs Service agreed on steps for integration and implementation. Customs' Comptroller General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, emphasized the importance of aligning stakeholders for the NSW project's success.

Zacch Adedeji, Executive Chairman of FIRS, highlighted the need for collaboration to ensure the project's success. Tola Fakolade, Director of the NSW Project, emphasized the critical development and integration phase to achieve seamless integration by Q1 2026.

The project aims to create a trade ecosystem by integrating technology and various agencies on a unified platform.
