Ogbeni Idowu Adesokan is positioning himself as a leading candidate for the APC House of Representatives ticket for the Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, and Oyo West federal constituency ahead of the party's primary elections. His campaign is bolstered by growing support from stakeholders across the constituency and his extensive corporate experience, which spans 22 years in multinational companies such as British American Tobacco, Globacom, Etisalat, and MTN.

Adesokan, a trained leader from Harvard and Cranfield, emphasizes his commitment to grassroots engagement and economic development. He plans to introduce legislation, including the Oyo Cultural Heritage Bill, aimed at preserving and developing heritage sites to enhance tourism.
