Abia Government Urges Contractors to Maintain Quality Standards

The Abia State Government has instructed contractors and project supervisors to strictly adhere to international quality standards in the execution of government projects. This directive was communicated during a two-day workshop held in Umuahia, organized for contractors and stakeholders involved in project execution.

Mr. Onyiny Nwosu, the Director General of the Abia State Project Implementation Bureau, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of quality control and the need for strict monitoring of materials used in projects.

He highlighted that proper supervision and maintaining a safe work environment are critical for project success. Governor Alex Otti's commitment to institutionalizing a culture of quality in government infrastructure development across the state was also noted.

The workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge of participants to prevent costly mistakes that often occur during project execution, thereby ensuring high standards are maintained across government institutions.
