Nigeria U-20 Coach Moses Aduku Aims for World Cup Glory

Moses Aduku, the coach of Nigeria’s women’s U-20 team, has reiterated his ambition to win the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup as they prepare to face England in the round of 16 on September 17 at Stadion Miejski Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Aduku stated that winning the tournament has been his goal since his appointment, urging players and staff to commit fully to this vision.

Nigeria secured their place in the knockout stage with a decisive 10-1 victory over New Caledonia, following a 2-0 loss to Spain and a 0-0 draw with China in earlier matches. Key players included Ramotalahi Kareem, who scored a hat-trick, and substitute Winner Onajite David, who also netted three goals.

Aduku emphasized the importance of training on goal scoring and defending, highlighting the future potential of the players. Nigeria has participated in every edition of the competition since its inception in 2002, finishing as runners-up in 2010 and 2014, and winning bronze in 2012.
