Falconets Aim for Victory Against New Caledonia

Coach Moses Aduku has assured that Nigeria’s Falconets are prepared to perform at their best when they face New Caledonia on Sunday at the Stadion Miejski LKS Lodz in a crucial final Group F match at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The Falconets currently sit third in the group standings with one point, following a 2-0 loss to Spain and a goalless draw against China.

To have a chance of advancing to the Round of 16, Nigeria must win convincingly to improve their goal difference, regardless of the outcome of the match between Spain and China. Aduku emphasized that his team would not underestimate New Caledonia, who are debutants in the tournament and currently at the bottom of the group without any points.

New Caledonia’s coach, Leon Waitronyie, stated that they would adopt a more aggressive approach in search of their first goal. Spain leads the group with six points, followed by China with four.
