Super Falconets Arrive in Poland for U-20 World Cup Prep

The Super Falconets of Nigeria have arrived in Poland as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The team will focus on tactical drills, fitness work, and final training sessions after previously training in Abuja and playing friendly matches in Nigeria.

Head coach Moses Aduku will evaluate his 21-player squad during warm-up matches against the hosts, Poland, and Korea Republic before the tournament commences. Aduku named his final squad just before their departure.

The Falconets are placed in Group F alongside Spain, China, and New Caledonia. Nigeria's campaign will kick off against Spain at the Arena Sosnowiec on Monday, September 7, followed by a match against China three days later, and concluding the group stage against New Caledonia at the Stadion Miejski ŁKS on Sunday, September 13.

Notably, the Super Falconets are the only Nigerian national team to qualify for an international football competition in 2026, following the failures of the Super Eagles, Super Falcons, and the men’s under-20 football team.
