Super Eagles to Learn AFCON 2027 Qualifiers Opponents

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to discover their opponents for the AFCON 2027 qualifiers on May 19, 2024. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that 48 countries, including co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, will participate in the qualification process.

The teams will be drawn into 12 groups, each consisting of four teams. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the final tournament, which is scheduled to commence on June 19, 2027, with the final match slated for July 17, 2027.

Additionally, it was noted that the Super Eagles finished in third position in the AFCON 2025 final, which was hosted by Morocco.
