10,000 Affordable Homes for Federal Workers in Abuja Real Estate Project

The Nigerian government, through the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, is spearheading a real estate project in Abuja to deliver 10,000 housing units for federal workers. The initiative, located in Jibi Town behind Mopol Barrack Dei Dei along the Kubwa Expressway, involves a cooperative estate spanning 700 hectares.

The project, endorsed by various government agencies including the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and the Central Bank of Nigeria, aims to fulfill the dream of affordable homeownership for workers. Emmanuel Iyaji, the Secretary-General of the Abuja Cooperative Federation, highlighted the transformative impact of the Abuja Cooper City project, which is expected to create thousands of jobs and boost local industries.
