African Democratic Congress Criticizes Nigeria's 2026 Budget as Fiscally Insolvent

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned Nigeria's 2026 budget, alleging fiscal insolvency with a proposed budget of N58.57 trillion, including N34 trillion in revenue and N24 trillion in borrowing. The opposition party criticized the deficit-revenue ratio of 70%, warning of a debt trap and high-interest debts.

The budget, presented by President Bola Tinubu, is scrutinized for its lack of concern for future generations and potential economic hardships. The ADC calls for greater transparency and responsible fiscal planning to avoid further financial distress.
