INEC Clears 14 Political Parties for Registration in Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nigeria has cleared 14 out of 171 political associations to register as political parties, including the Democratic Alliance (ADA), African Transformation Party (ATP), and African Alliance Party (AAP). These associations met the requirements set by INEC to proceed to the next stage of registration.

The decision was based on compliance with the Nigerian Constitution and Electoral Act. Among the approved parties are also the Citizens Democratic Party (CDP), Grassroots Initiative Party (GIP), and Green Future Party (GFP).

This move by INEC aims to expand the political landscape in Nigeria by allowing new parties to participate in the democratic process.
