FRC Commissions New Headquarters in Lagos After 44 Years

The Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC) has officially commissioned its new headquarters in Lagos, marking a significant milestone after 44 years of operation. The ceremony featured prominent attendees, including Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, represented by his Special Adviser Dr. Tope Fasua; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

Dr. Rabiu Olowo, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the FRC, emphasized that the new headquarters symbolizes the evolution of the FRC and the necessity for its infrastructure to align with its statutory responsibilities. Dr. Tope Fasua remarked on the importance of the FRC's work in establishing trust within the economy, while Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the council's critical role in promoting credible financial reporting and corporate governance, which are essential for Nigeria's economic framework, particularly in Lagos as the leading commercial center.
