FRC to Host 2026 Audit and Assurance Leadership Summit

The Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC) is organizing the "2026 Audit and Assurance Leadership Summit," scheduled for August 13, 2026, in Lagos. The summit, themed “Audit Integrity in the AI Era: Independence, Accountability and Reliable Financial Reporting,” aims to foster discussions on audit quality, assurance, governance, and the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the profession.

It will gather regulators, audit professionals, corporate leaders, academics, investors, technology experts, policymakers, and governance practitioners to explore the opportunities and challenges posed by AI in audit and assurance. The FRC invites a wide range of participants, including CEOs, chief financial officers, internal auditors, and public and private sector stakeholders, to engage in this national dialogue.
