ADC Confirms Participation in 2027 Elections Despite Challenges

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly declared its intention to participate in the 2027 general elections despite facing challenges from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). During an appearance on a television channel on Tuesday night, a spokesperson for the ADC, Abdullahi, stated that the party would not succumb to pressures to boycott the elections.

He highlighted that INEC had recommended a 21-day notice for the party's congress, but the ADC remains resolute in contesting the elections on its own platform. Abdullahi emphasized that the party would not surrender or become complicit in undermining Nigeria's multiparty democracy.
