APC Will Participate in 2027 Elections Despite Boycotts

Felix Morka, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that the party will fully participate in the 2027 general elections, regardless of potential boycotts from opposition parties such as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Morka responded to growing calls from opposition figures urging their parties to protest the elections, citing an uneven playing field.

He criticized the ADC for what he described as emotional manipulation of the political process and emphasized that the real issue is not whether opposition parties are prepared to compete but rather their commitment to the democratic process. Morka dismissed the possibility of the APC stepping aside if opposition parties withdraw, stating that the APC will exercise its constitutional right to participate.

Meanwhile, discussions among opposition parties regarding a boycott are intensifying, with concerns raised about the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and allegations of bias influencing the electoral process.
