Yoruba Nation Agitator Sunday Igboho Returns to Nigeria After Exile

Sunday Igboho, a prominent Yoruba nation agitator, has made a return to Nigeria after being in exile. His arrival was met with support from residents in Ibadan, Oyo State, where prayers were offered for his safe return.

Igboho had left Nigeria in July 2021 after security forces, including the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Army, raided his residence in Ibadan, alleging that he was stockpiling arms and ammunition. Despite facing challenges such as being declared wanted by the administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari, having his Nigerian passport denied, and his bank accounts frozen, Igboho decided to return to attend his late mother's burial.

During his return, he visited the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, who warmly received him and offered prayers for his success. Oba Ladoja emphasized the importance of Igboho's engagement with Yoruba elders on behalf of the Yoruba people.
