Igboho Urges Kanu to Engage Diplomatically for Peace

Sunday Igboho, a prominent Yoruba nation activist, has reached out to Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), advocating for a diplomatic approach to resolve Kanu's prolonged legal battles. In a statement issued on Friday by his legal counsel, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Igboho applauded Kanu for formally ending a sit-at-home directive that had disrupted economic and social activities across the South East for several years.

Igboho described the cancellation as a necessary decision that could help restore stability in the region's economy. He urged Kanu to adopt a conciliatory approach and open channels for dialogue with the current administration, emphasizing the importance of mediation and negotiation to break the stalemate surrounding Kanu's case.

Igboho warned against further desecration and violence in the region, stressing that peace and economic prosperity depend on constructive engagement and compromise among all parties involved.
