AGF Fagbemi Advocates Ethical Conduct in Justice Sector

On Monday, October 2, 2023, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu's administration's commitment to institutionalizing a culture of ethical conduct within Nigerian justice agencies. This statement was made during the 2025 Reward and Recognition Ceremony held in Abuja, which honored various agencies, including the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Fagbemi described the recognition as a strategic initiative to firmly root ethical conduct within the federal civil service. He emphasized the need for collaboration and professionalism among justice sector personnel to enhance public trust.

Beatrice Jedi Agba, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, highlighted the recipients' exemplary service and commitment to addressing challenges within the justice sector, reinforcing the importance of accountability and the rule of law.
