AGN Lifts Suspension on Halima Abubakar as Emeka Rollas Exits Office

The Actor Guild Nigeria (AGN) has officially lifted the suspension on Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar after an internal investigation found her not guilty of spreading false information. The disciplinary action against Abubakar began in October 2024 when she was suspended for alleged misconduct.

Emeka Rollas, the outgoing AGN President, disclosed the reversal of the suspension during the inauguration of the new National Executive Council (NEC) in Abuja. Abubakar had earlier filed a 3 billion lawsuit against AGN challenging her suspension.

Rollas, who refused to leave office despite the end of his tenure in December 2025, announced the lifting of Abubakar's suspension. Other suspended members were also reinstated.

The new AGN President, Yakubu, and Chairman, Chuk Chyke, praised the outgoing administration for its impact and achievements.
