Agro Preciso Workshop Enhances Poultry Farming in Kogi

Agro Preciso Limited, led by Managing Director Dr. Nuruddeen S.

Lawal, conducted a workshop in Lokoja, Kogi State, aimed at promoting resilient poultry farming through the introduction of SASSO chicken breeds. The workshop, supported by the World Bank, brought together 57 stakeholders from the poultry value chain to enhance their capacity and knowledge in modern poultry management practices.

Dr. Lawal emphasized that SASSO breeds are not just a type of poultry but a dual-purpose, free-range variety that can adapt to local conditions while delivering high-quality meat and eggs.

The Kogi State government, represented by Dr. Olufemi Bolarin, commended the initiative for its potential to improve food security and boost farmers' incomes.

Participants expressed satisfaction with the training, noting its impact on reducing operational costs and enhancing productivity. The workshop concluded with the presentation of certificates to attendees, marking a significant step towards strengthening the poultry product value chain in Kogi State.
