GMind Academy and TRCN Launch AI Training for Teachers

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and GMind Academy are launching an AI training initiative aimed at teachers and education stakeholders across Nigeria's 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs). Dr Success Ojo, co-founder and CEO of GMind Academy, announced this during a visit to TRCN in Abuja.

The initiative will train 774 AI Adoption Specialists, with one specialist assigned to each LGA, to assist local teachers and schools in understanding and implementing AI in educational settings. The training will be provided free of charge, and participants will receive two months of complimentary access to the GMind AI platform for practical application.

Additionally, teachers completing the Certified AI-ready Teacher Programme (CART) may earn professional development credits with TRCN, pending approval. Ojo emphasized the importance of integrating AI competency into ongoing teacher professional development, commending TRCN for its role in enhancing the teaching profession and education quality in Nigeria.
