Akwa Ibom Governor Eno Disburses N82bn Gratuities

In an Easter broadcast on Sunday, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno announced the disbursement of N82 billion in gratuities owed to retired civil servants, fulfilling a campaign promise made during his tenure. This payment is part of a total N111 billion in inherited gratuities. Eno emphasized his administration's commitment to completing infrastructure projects, noting that since assuming office in 2023, they have constructed 1,300 kilometers of roads, including those initiated by previous administrations. Additionally, 167 kilometers of road projects were approved in the last executive council meeting, ensuring that no local government area is left without infrastructure development. Eno expressed confidence in overcoming ongoing challenges and drew inspiration from the Easter message of hope and redemption, assuring the people of Akwa Ibom that his administration will continue to work towards improving their welfare and creating a hopeful future.
