Update on Nnaji's Certificate Allegation Investigation

Ngwu clarified that the investigative panel regarding Chief Uch Nnaji's alleged certificate forgery has not determined any wrongdoing. This follows a petition submitted by Nnaji to the Federal Ministry of Education alleging misconduct by certain officials at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).

The panel's investigation is ongoing, and it has not yet released any findings. Ngwu emphasized that the panel's work should not be preempted by public speculation, as the matter is currently before the courts.

Nnaji is seeking a court order to compel UNN to release his academic transcript, with proceedings scheduled for February 26, 2025. The case has faced procedural delays due to issues with proof of service.

Nnaji's legal team, represented by Wole Olanipekun and Sebastian Hon, is contesting the university's actions, which they argue violate the Nigeria Data Protection Act. The Public Complaint Commission has noted that no complaints have been filed against Nnaji regarding the authenticity of his academic records.
