AIICO Insurance Warns Against Former Agent's Allegations

AIICO Insurance Plc has issued a warning to the public regarding transactions with its former agent, Mr. Obinna Adolphus Nwosu, whose appointment was terminated. Following this termination, AIICO published a public notice on 26 June 2025, advising customers and the public to refrain from any business dealings with Nwosu.

Despite this notice, Nwosu has continued to propagate false and misleading allegations about AIICO through various channels, which the company states could harm its reputation and cause concern among stakeholders. AIICO has declared that these allegations are untrue and should be approached with caution.

Instead of engaging in public disputes, AIICO has opted to pursue legal recourse and has filed a defamation lawsuit against Nwosu at the Lagos State High Court. The company aims to address the matter through appropriate legal channels rather than through public discourse.
