Air Peace and Etihad Airways Boost African Connectivity

Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, and Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, have signed an interline agreement aimed at improving travel options between Nigeria, West and Central Africa, and the Middle East. This partnership will enable Etihad passengers to connect from Lagos and Accra to over 20 destinations across Nigeria and the region through Air Peace’s extensive network.

Travellers can complete their journeys on a single ticket, facilitating smoother transfers to key Nigerian cities such as Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Benin City, Owerri, Warri, and Asaba, as well as regional destinations including Abidjan, Dakar, and Douala. This agreement is part of Etihad Airways' broader African expansion strategy, which includes daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Lagos.

Arik De, Chief Commercial and Revenue Officer of Etihad Airways, emphasized Nigeria's importance in their long-term growth strategy. Nowel Ngala, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace, stated that the partnership aligns with their vision of enhancing connectivity for Nigerian and West African travellers.
