Air Peace Addresses Flight Delays and Cancellations

Air Peace has publicly addressed a series of recent flight delays and cancellations, attributing these disruptions to various operational setbacks occurring in quick succession. Chief Operating Officer Oluwatoyin Olajide stated that a false fire alarm grounded one aircraft, while a bird strike rendered another inoperable for several days.

Additionally, adverse weather conditions led to diversions and subsequent delays, and separate technical issues necessitated mandatory checks before affected planes could return to service. The airline also cited delays in securing aviation fuel at certain locations as a contributing factor.

Olajide assured that Air Peace would not rush aircraft back into service under pressure, emphasizing that no aircraft would be cleared to fly until confirmed airworthy by technical teams and safety procedures. She expressed the airline's commitment to improving reliability and service quality, and apologized to passengers affected by the disruptions.
