Air Peace Denies Detaining Lessor's Aircraft Amid $38M Loss

Air Peace, a Nigerian airline, faces a $38 million loss due to a transaction with Smartlynx Airlines involving the withdrawal of four leased aircraft. Despite Smartlynx's alleged breach of contract and fraudulent activities, Air Peace has released three aircraft and denies any intention to detain the lessor's assets.

The situation has led to disruptions in Air Peace's operations and reputational damage. Chinedu Ezenwa, Air Peace's management, clarified the airline's stance on the issue.
