Air Marshal Aneke Enhances Security in Niger Delta

Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of Air Staff, conducted a strategic visit to Bayelsa and Rivers States to bolster security and operational capacity of the Nigerian Air Force. This visit, described as a homecoming by Aneke, aimed to strengthen civil-military cooperation and enhance the security architecture in the Niger Delta, a critical region for Nigeria's economy due to its oil and gas infrastructure.

During the visit, he inaugurated infrastructure projects, including the Nigerian Air Force Institute for Administrative Management, which is designed to improve professional capacity within the service. Aneke met with Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, who praised the Air Force's role in maintaining peace and pledged continued support for military operations.

He also visited Rivers State, meeting Governor Siminalayi Fubara to discuss collaboration on security challenges, particularly in protecting oil and gas assets. The visit underscored the Nigerian Air Force's commitment to safeguarding national assets and maintaining stability in the Niger Delta.
