CAS Anek Enhances NAF Operations in Niger Delta

On a strategic visit to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, reinforced the Nigerian Air Force's (NAF) operational presence in the Niger Delta. This visit included the commissioning of major infrastructure projects and the inauguration of a new training institute aimed at enhancing administrative management within the NAF.

The visit is part of Anek's nationwide tour to evaluate combat readiness and strengthen personnel welfare. During discussions with Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, Anek emphasized the strategic importance of the Niger Delta for Nigeria's economic stability and national security.

He reaffirmed the Air Force's commitment to protecting critical oil and gas infrastructure and maintaining peace in the region. Governor Diri commended the NAF for its stabilizing role and welcomed the establishment of the training institute in Yenagoa, which is expected to promote capacity building and strengthen partnerships.

The visit also included the inauguration of additional infrastructure projects within the base to support operational readiness.
