FAAN and MTN Launch Free Wi-Fi at Nigerian Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and MTN Nigeria have jointly launched free Wi-Fi services at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. This initiative is part of FAAN's strategic plan to enhance the travel experience for passengers and ensure that Nigeria's airports align with global best practices in digital infrastructure.

FAAN's Managing Director, Olubunmi Kuku, emphasized that this development is not merely about launching Wi-Fi services but setting a new benchmark for Nigeria's airport digital infrastructure. Captain Mahmood Abdullahi, representing FAAN, highlighted the significance of public-private partnerships in achieving national objectives.

Lynda Saint Nwafor, MTN's Chief Enterprise Business Officer, described the partnership as a testament to deep collaboration aimed at improving passenger travel experiences. The rollout of similar services is expected in airports located in Kano, Port Harcourt, and Enugu within the coming months.
