Aisha Yesufu Appeals to Kwankwaso for Obi's Running Mate

Aisha Yesufu, a member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), made a revelation on Wednesday regarding her appeal to former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to accept the position of running mate to Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi during the 2023 electoral cycle. Yesufu expressed her support for the alliance between Obi and Kwankwaso, emphasizing her long-standing advocacy for a partnership between the two political figures.

She stated that they remain committed to seeing this alliance materialize, writing that while life is long, it is better late than never. Yesufu recalled her previous attempts to encourage Kwankwaso to join Obi’s campaign, indicating that she believes their collaboration could strengthen their political positions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
